Introducing our therapy chickens! These feathered friends have found a cozy home at our school in the Goldfields, Western Australia. They may not have diplomas, but they sure are experts in boosting our students' well-being and positive psychology.
Our students have formed a special bond with these cluck-tastic companions. While students are busy and engaged in programs like Outdoor Education activities and student leadership they care for our adorable chickens. With their calming presence these feathered pals contribute to a happier and healthier school environment.
At Fairbridge College Kalgoorlie, we believe in the power of connection with animals to enhance student well-being. Our beloved therapy chickens offer students a unique opportunity to experience emotional support in a calming and non-judgmental environment. These friendly feathered companions help reduce stress, promote mindfulness, and encourage a positive atmosphere in our school community. The interactions with our therapy chickens are designed to assist students in developing empathy, nurturing skills, and improving their overall mental health and well-being.
