Workplace Learning Program

Fairbridge College’s Workplace Learning program includes: 

• Structured Work Placements: 
  Regular placements in hospitality, construction, animal care, community services, land care, retail, and other fields, tailored to students’ interests and readiness. 

• Industry Visits and Mentorships: 
  Hands-on exposure to local employers and businesses, including guest speakers, site visits, and shadowing opportunities. 

• Workplace Simulation Projects: 
  On-site enterprise learning such as running a café, gardening, or construction tasks that model real workplace expectations. 

• Employability Skills Development: 
  Students build practical competencies such as punctuality, teamwork, problem-solving, initiative, and workplace communication. 

• Portfolio and Resume Creation: 
  Evidence of work experience, reflections, skills checklists, and references are collated into student portfolios for post-school use.
